The BREAST and its significance in the 21st century!

   This picture showing a mother (and a fellow blogger), breast-feeding her baby at a wedding has gone viral on instagram. It has attracted over 2000 likes and more than 200 comments many of whom are commending the mother. This has brought to the fore, the significance of the breast in our society today. The breast has so much received a whole lot of hype as a sex-symbol that a lot of people are losing site of its life-sustaining function. In my society, Africa (Nigeria to be precise) we often look at a person when he or she is behaving stupidly, we ask, " were you fed your mother's breast milk at all?
    Well, today is the first day of March and come the first day of AUGUST, the world once again will focus on the need for breast-feeding towards the sustenance of human life here on earth.
   
Breastfeeding is essential for our babies. Why?   It provides a child with all the anitbodies and nutrients she or he needs to stop from getting ill in the future.
But won't a formula do the same thing?   No.   Tests have shown that babies fed with formula have had lower scores on brain development and a greater risk of getting diseases like childhood lymphoma, or breast cancer in their later years.   Stopping breastfeeding too early will also increase these risks.

   However, alot of women are afraid of their breast sagging. Experts say its not the breast feeding that does the sagging but rather other issues like the pregnancy itself, type of bra you were regularly, your eating habits, and of course aging. Come to think of it, those ballons will not last forever.
   So, in conclusion, mothers, which one is more important to you; a robust breast with a malnourished always-sick child; or a saggy breast (which you can always enhance with bras, exercise and extremes like surgery) and a well-fed, healthy and intelligent child? The choice is yours.

Ritual killing of Children in Uganda

 

 

    Six cases of the mutilation and murder of children as "good luck" sacrifices were reported during the recent Ugandan elections, a children's charity said.

"Child sacrifice cases are common during election time as some people believe blood sacrifices will bring wealth and power," said Shelin Kasozi of Kyampisi Childcare Ministries (KCM), a charity that cares for survivors of attempted child sacrifice.

She said the cases were reported from October to February in Ssembabule, Mukono, Buikwe and Mubende districts in central Uganda. Suspects had been apprehended, but the cases had yet to go to court, she said.

President Yoweri Museveni won a Feb. 18 election, extending his 30-year rule in a vote criticised by the United States and European Union. Ugandans also voted in municipal and parliamentary elections.

Lightening strikes two places twice as twin-sisters give birth to set oif twins AGAIN!

 Identical twin sisters from Utah, U.S.A each recently gave birth to identical twins AGAIN.

    Kerri Bunker and Kelli Wall delivered twins within weeks of each other at a hospital. Years ago, they gave birth to their first sets of twins, now 4- and 5-year-olds, at the same hospital a few months apart.

    Bunker's newest twins arrived Feb. 13. Wall's youngest twins were born about three weeks earlier.

Ryan White, spokesman for Timpanogos Regional Hospital, says some of the twins were conceived through in vitro fertilization.

    The 36-year-old women say they aren't just sisters but best friends, neighbors and co-workers. They say all nine kids will grow up together. What a wonder.

He shot and killed his brother who happend to be a pastor while on the pulpit yesterday sunday service

     An Ohio pastor with deep roots in the Dayton community was shot and killed at his church Sunday, and police say they expect to charge his brother in the slaying.
    Witnesses who were in the church yesterday morning said the choir was singing when the suspect walked up to the pastor and opened fire. Parishioners reported streaming out of the church after the shooting.
The pastor later died of his injuries. The reason for the shooting is yet unknown but i still wonder what feud will move a 68 yr old (picture above) to murder his septuagenarian brother(picture below) in cold blood? This life!

The Pros and Cons of Shaving our body hairs.

Ben Carson and his race to the white house

 

In case you are not aware, United States of America is once again on its way to elect their President for the next four years. President Barrack Obama pulled a phenomenal electoral stunt to become the first dark-skin American to mount the saddle in the White House. As his almost eight-year eventful tenure gradually winds up, another black American is warming up along side other light-skinned counterparts for the prestigious seat. What chances does he possess? We shall keep a close watch as events as they unfold. By the way, WHO IS BEN CARSON? Well if you have not read the inspirational book 'Gifted Hands' then probably you are either way too young or the other way round (LOL! Don't mind me)

Ben Carson was born in Detroit, Michigan, on September 18, 1951. His mother, though under-educated herself, pushed her sons to read and to believe in themselves. Carson went from being a poor student to receiving academic honors and eventually attending medical school. As a doctor, he became director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital at age 33 and earned fame for his groundbreaking work separating conjoined twins. In 2015 he announced that he was running for the following year's presidential election, hoping to gain the Republican nomination. He is one of the party's leading candidates in the polls.

   The 1980s kiddy vision 101 TV presenter has tripped and got bruises on his face on a video shoot few days ago. The last one was during a work down a fashion aisle in a fashion show in Port Harcourt.

Bill Cosby drops defamation suit.

His attorney Monique Pressley wrote in an email Thursday that Cosby made the move to focus on his defense in a criminal case in Pennsylvania.

Cosby is charged there with drugging and sexually assaulting a former Temple University employee at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004. He has denied the allegations.

Pressley wrote that Cosby plans to re-file the case against Johnson before the statute of limitations expires.

The supermodel has repeatedly accused Cosby of slipping a drug into her cappuccino in his New York home
